We are going to the Berder of Georgia On June 22, on Sunday, we head to Georgia to reveal the medieval fortresses of the neighboring country and the breath of history. The walk will start from the village of Tandzia, taking direction to our first stop, Khuluti Fortress. The fortress is located near the Armenian border, built on a hill and served as a military base.

On June 22, on Sunday, we head to Georgia to reveal the medieval fortresses of the neighboring country and the breath of history. The walk will start from the village of Tandzia, taking direction to our first stop, Khuluti Fortress. The fortress is located near the Armenian border, built on a hill and served as a military base.
Then we will visit Sulkhan Saba Orbelyan's museum dedicated to the life and activities of the Georgian great thinker and writer. After the museum, we travel to really remarkable historical monuments,
🏰 KVESHI FORTRESS - Built in the VII century, and its power peaked in the XII-XVI centuries. It is located on the high rock, on the banks of the Mashavi River, and has long played an important role in the fights between the Georgian noble families. The area has tunnel entrances, control towers, and the ruins of the chapel, and the fortress scenes are even attracted to even the most experienced travelers.
🏰 Tsurtavi Fortress - built at the end of the 18th century, on the initiative of Queen Darejan. Berd was an object of military importance to protect themselves from Persian and Ottoman invoices. The ruins of the towers are still standing here, and there is also ideal for a monastery, a mysterious, history, and for photos.
And after the fortresses, we will visit the Marneuli Monastery and the Turkish Mosque, then return to Yerevan.
The relative height will be 300 m down.
The length of the route is 7 km.
The complexity is light.
