Aghavnavank-Khamsh Monastery

On Saturday, May 1, 110 Places Hiking Club will perform a unique walk in Tavush region, Aghavnavank and Khamshi Monastery. These two wonderful monasteries are in Dilijan and Chambarak regions. The beautiful forest route will take us to a medieval Agnatise or St. Astvatsatsin Middle Ages in Aknabad's Henau (XII-XIII centuries). There are 25 m highs of 300-400 cm trees with a diameter of 70-90 cm in the park. There is an evergreen tall tree with a dark green conical foliage and is famous for its redwood.

The walk will continue to be a hidden red monastery in the forest, which is supposed to be the Khamshi monastery of the residence of the Catholicos from Aghvan. With the auspices of Armenian and Georgian Atabek Ivan Zakaryan, Hovhannes Z. Catholicos Founded by Aghvaghkik.
The total length of the walk is about 8 km.
The march is suitable for both beginners and experienced hikers.
The group will be accompanied by Astine Sargsyan and Hayk Arustamyan.
The participants of the campaign must have with them,
