Shamshadin is heading to Discover Tavush region on September 7-8.
Day 1:
We will go to Kaptavank, which is
5 km south-west of Chinchin village of Tavush region. The name originated from the color of the stones of the monument (Balance Basalt). It is a non-functioning church, the dilapidated state is in shape. Then we will continue our way to Tavush Fortress and Reservoir. The fortress is located on the outskirts of Berd city of Tavush region. It is a 10th century structure that has built Ashot Iron.
In the evening we will go to the line, we will fit and we will go around the bonfire.
Relative height: 100 m.
The length of the route is 5 km.
The complexity is easy.
Type: Forest (50%).
Day 2:
In the early morning, we will wake up and head to Varagavank, which is located 3.5 km south-west of Varagavank in Tavush region, over a high cliff, surrounded by forested mountains. Then we will go to the Shkhmurad Monastery, which is a semi-raid and non-functioning church. It is located 6-7 km south-west of Tsaghkavan village, a 12th-century structure. Quite beautiful, forest walk is expected.
Relative height: 200 m.
The length of the route is 10 km.
Complications: average easier.
Type: Forest (60%).
